No tour of Rajasthan would be complete without visiting Kumbhalgarh, another magnificent fortress nestled in the Aravalli hills. Known for its colossal walls that stretch over 36 kilometers, Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of the great warrior Maharana Pratap. The fort’s unique blend of architectural grandeur and natural beauty makes it an essential stop, adding depth and wonder to your exploration of Rajasthan’s rich heritage.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Udaipur

Upon arrival in Udaipur, you'll meet a representative at a pre-arranged location and be transferred to your pre-booked hotel, where you can check in and relax. Your first outing will take you to the majestic Sajjangarh Fort, where you can explore the beautiful Hanging Gardens. Next, you'll journey to Gulab Bagh, with a stop at Lake Pichola to admire Jagmandir. After strolling through the garden, known for its variety of roses, and encountering rare animals at the zoo, you'll head to Fateh Sagar Lake. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk through the local market to pick up souvenirs. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Udaipur

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a city tour. Visit Sahelion-ki-Bari, a historic greenhouse built for the ladies who accompanied the princess after her marriage to Maharana Sangram Singh. Continue to the City Palace, where you can admire its stunning architecture, including mirrored walls, ivory doors, and windows with colored glass. Next, explore the Crystal Gallery at Fateh Sagar Palace, which showcases the largest private collection of crystals in the world and offers a glimpse into royal history. In the evening, enjoy a breathtaking boat ride on the picturesque Lake Pichola. You’ll then visit Under the Sun Aquarium to marvel at a variety of colorful fish. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 3: Excursion to Kumbhalgarh

Wake up in the morning, enjoy a healthy breakfast, and prepare for an excursion to the mighty Kumbhalgarh Fort. Perched between the peaks of the Aravalli ranges, Kumbhalgarh Fort is a smooth two-hour ride from Udaipur. Upon arrival, explore the impressive array of temples and the most picturesque spot, Badal Mahal, or the Palace of the Clouds. Take in stunning bird's-eye views of the surrounding landscape and the fort's formidable walls, which stretch for 36 kilometers, making it second only to the Great Wall of China. After exploring this 15th-century marvel, embark on your journey back to Udaipur. You’ll return to Udaipur later in the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Excursion to Chittorgarh

Wake up, have breakfast, and prepare to explore Chittorgarh Fort, the bastion of the Rajputs. To reach the fort, you'll travel along a one-kilometer road, passing through seven grand palatial gates. Climb the 156 steps to the 9th floor of Vijay Stambh and admire the Arabic engravings of the word 'Allah' on the 3rd and 8th floors by Rana Kumbha. As you wander through the beautiful Padmini Palace, imagine yourself as a character from the film Padmavat, where Rani Padmini stood when Alauddin Khilji first saw her reflection in a mirror. After exploring this magnificent fort, you'll travel back to Udaipur and reach your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Udaipur Railway Station or Airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your tour, leaving you with wonderful memories.
